What is Lubber's Landing?

Lubbers' Landing is a small, island style, out-island, cottage resort in Abaco Bahamas. We are responsible but comfortable; quirky but cool; lively but...intimate. Our guests range from hip musicians to anniversary couples rekindling a long romance to love-struck honeymooners, and everyone in between. Our guests are all people looking to getaway from it all...we use first names and we enjoy the island life. Welcome to Lubbers' Landing.

We use green materials thoughout Lubbers' Landing.

In the rental cottages, it starts with an efficient and smart design. We used Saltillo tile on the floors, recycled glass tile on the kitchen counters and in the showers, comfortable organic latex mattresses and sea grass furniture. Smart design means the air condition runs less, but works the same...that's how "green" tech should be used- when and where it works best!

At the bar, we source organic supplies wherever possible, it costs more for us, but gives you the best product possible. We use glass instead of plastic cups. Why? Because it's better. Plastic clogs our landfills and glass you just wash. It's simple. Glass give you a better experience and you can say you did the right thing- we're talking small steps here! But to sum it up: the more you drink here, the healthier you'll be and the longer you'll live- I'm kidding, of course, but it sounds good! And as the song goes, "Save water, drink beer!"

Our food service receives the same scrutiny so as to provide you with the best product available. We source our herbs and spices locally whenever possible, supporting local farmer, and giving you the freshest food. Our fish and conch are from local waters, sometimes right out front, and all of our seafood is cared for as if you were going to eat it, sounds funny, but think about it...it's true!
